First put all the screws back.

To access and change the element you will go in through the front and top.

Remember to unplug the unit first.

Read through the instructions first.

I hope the pictures will be worth a 1000 words but reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.

The drain pump is electrical and I'd check for loose connections if it just started. You can access the drain pump by removing the two srews at the bottom corners of the front panel. Pull out and up on the panel.

Q:

washer overfilling 41797802792 Kenmore Laundry center

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your questions about your Kenmore Laundry Center. I am so sorry to hear the washer tub is overfilling. I will be happy to help you with this.

I recommend checking the pressure hose for damage. Even if it isn't clogged or kinked, a crack that lets air escape can affect the performance of the pressure switch. If the hose checks out and all the fittings are secure, then the pressure switch most probably failed.

I hope this answers your question. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details  and we will be happy to help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Splash Guard Removal 417.97802792

A:

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your laundry center. The dryer on this model can not be separated from the washer. This is not design to do that. However, you can remove the top of the washer to access the splash guard. The image below will provide the directions on how to do this. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you for using Manage My Life.com.
