Hey Joey S, Thanks! That was fast! I have a bad thumping noise coming from my 41784252500 dryer...are there any further instructions for diagnosing and fixing the thumping noise? I *assume* I need to replace the roller and/or belt. Do you have the part numbers for the rollers and belt? Thanks again! -MJ

MJ; This model dryer does not have any drum support rollers. The drum is supported at the rear with a ball shaft and plastic bearing the ball end of the shaft sit in. The front of the drum is supported by an upper and lower felt seal. On the front inner side of the drum is plastic drum guide that sits and rides on the felt seals. I would be unusual for this type of dryer to make a thumping noise. It could have a broken drum guide on the inner side of the drum. At this time I would not suggest ordering any parts until you find the source of the thumping noise. Once you find what you need, you can look up and order parts at Searspartsdirect.com. Below is the URL to Searspartsdirect.com and you can copy and paste the URL in the browser and then enter the model number and select model and click search. Be sure to disconnect the power cord before removing the top, control panel and front panel. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Joey S, thanks again! I'm glad I asked! If thumping is unexpected for this type of dryer, do you think I should just hire a technician to fix it? I don't really want to make this a multi-day project, with my dryer disabled for the duration...OR...do you think I can open, diagnose and reassemble easily enough while I wait for the ordered part?

MJ: I would rmove the top, control panel and the front panel and make a inspection of the felt seals, the inner drum glide on the inner side of the drum in the front and check the belt too. If you do not feel confident, I strongly suggest calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dryer. Be sure to disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.
