Q:

grease 41764182300 Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 41764182300
and a thin coat of white lithium grease will work good. Don't use a thick grease as it will attract dirt and jam the mechanism. I have included a link to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the part you need to complete your repair. Just click the blue link above to be taken to the page. If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

There should be a couple of spring clips located between the top and the control panel near each corner. Use a putty knife and slip in front of the clip and push inwards and lift the top corner up a little and then repeat procedure for the other side. Once the top is hinged open, remove each screw securing the front panel to each side panel. I added a couple of images below to reference. NOTE: Disconnect the dryer from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

I want to know how to do it too. The pictures from Joey are not clear. Is there a step by step instruction or a video for replacing the heating element?

Thank you for your question. On something like this you will need to replace the timing cam. The timing cam is mounted to the timer. The timer is located up near the coin slide. I am sending you access instructions in the attachments below. Remember to disconnect power before attempting access.

If you need further assistance please provide a good model number.
