Q:

My Kenmore washer 417481060700 stops spinning during spin cycle when I am washing. I am not sure what part I need to fix this, please help me with understanding

A:

Thank you for question.

Several different problems could prevent your front load washer from completing the final spin cycle. A drain problem, excessive suds, unbalanced load, control problem or motor failure could prevent the washer from spinning.

Check to see if the washer is draining properly. Check your drain system for a clogged drain or kinked drain hose. Look for excessive suds in the washer. The washer will have a difficult time draining water if excessive suds are present. Once the suds dissipate, the washer can usually be drained and the load will spin. In this situation, use less HE (High Efficiency) detergent to prevent a suds problem from causing your final spin issue.

You could have an unbalanced load that the washer could not adjust properly. Try running a cycle with the washer completely empty to see if it will go into the final high speed spin. If not then you could have a component problem.

Many front load washers will signal an error code when the washer will not finish the cycle properly. Check the console for a code if your washer has a digital display. Some models will flash the lights in a pattern to signal an error code.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reply to this post.
