I understand replacement parts can look different.  I have checked the images for both part numbers and they do look pretty similar. If the part you received is completely different, then the wrong part may have been sent.  Return for replacement if needed.  It is also possible that it is just different enough that you may have to change the door catch also.  If you look at it and the latch, it does look like the latch may have been changed at the same time to accommodate the door switch. The video in this post may help with the replacement.  Please reply if further help is needed.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you Barbara. The Sears Parts Direct website says 131763202 is the substitute for 131269401. I have the new part in front of me and it matches the picture on the website so I don't think I was sent the wrong part. I now that I might need a new door latch. The old one will not even fit into the new part. My main problem is that the wiring connections seem entirely different. The new part has 8 connections in one 4 wire connector , one 2 wire connector and a pair of individual connections. The old part has 6 connections in one 2 wire connector and 2 pairs of individual connections. The new part had no instructions on how to adapt the connections. Is there a change also required to the wiring harness? The Parts Direct website said nothing about this or the need for a new door latch.

Small repair projects can get complicated these days. I see the issue. I think I have some options for you. Frigidaire initially came out with a door switch replacement kit. It is part #131888900. You can see the instructions in the first link below. The kit includes the actual switch, which you already have. There is a wiring harness, part # 131882400 that you can use for the new switch. And you will need the new latch shown above as well. I am sorry about the effort and cost on your part here. After machines reach about ten years old, manufacturers no longer make original parts and eventually do not recommend any substitute parts. If the washer works well other than this switch, the cost will still be resonable. If you decide at any point to have a technician visit to help with this door assembly, you can schedule at the Sears Home Services link below. I hope this helps get the repair done.

I ordered and installed the following parts as recommended: 1. Lock 131763202 2. Striker 131763302 3. Harness 131882400 All fit up well, although the wiring harnesses were a bit of a challenge due to the congested areas. My problem now is that the motor does nothing. It does not agitate or spin. Prior to installing the new parts at least it agitated. What do you suggest I try now?

Thank you for the reply John. I would double check the door latch portion. It raises a lever to the correct position for the timer to activate a solenoid and the circuit. There is more information attached in images below to help. I doubt that the timer or motor is bad but I did attach information to check them as well as the door circuit. Remember any circuit or component checks need to be made with the power disconnected. If at any time you decide to have a technician help, you can schedule a Sears technician at Sears Home Services.

One more note. Make sure the dispenser drawer is closed completely, as it is part of the circuit and if even slightly open can interrupt the circuit.

I have ordered all the parts and came back to this link. However, the video isn't available anymore and all the images posted are illegible. I have no idea how to wire these parts. Can you repost the diagrams? Thanks!
