One wire is the igniter wire & one is the ground wire. The igniter wire connects to the igniter on 1 end & the other end connects to the battery. The ground wire if used attaches to the frame. Another possibility is an extra wire for the side burner option.

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

Q:

I have a Kenmore gas grill model 415162130 and the middle burner does not work. What can be wrong?

A:

Remove the cooking grates and the burner shields from the grill. Turn the gas on to the burners in the proper lighting sequence. With a rolled up piece of paper light the end of the paper and move the flame up and down the holes in the middle burner.

If you get some flame in places along the burner, the burner is stopped up. Remove the burner from the grill and clean the holes with a wire brush. Tap the burner on the outside with the handle of the wire brush and pour any rust out of the opening at the end.

If you don't get any flame anywhere along the burner, replace the burner valve,

To get the burner valve, you have to order the regulator, hose, and valve assembly. The part number for the assembly is 7000064, and the price is around $50.00.
