I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your grill. I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your grill. Check to make sure that each burner will turn on individually. If the burner that you are lighting will not work properly then you could have a problem with the gas valve or the gas supply to the burner. If all of the burners work individually then your problem is likely in the regulator or the tank. Try using a freshly filled tank to see if all of the burners will work properly. If not, then you may need to replace the regulator to fix this problem. As for the grease trap, this part is not available for this model. The manufacturer is not providing them at this time. Why does gas grill have high flames, model number 415.151010? What parts do I need new burner unit or regulator valve?


In reference to your Kenmore grill, model number 415.151010:

The regulator on your grill will effect how high the flames are on your burner's. Before changing the regulator valve/hose follow the check list below:

The burners will have to be manually cleaned or replaced to work properly .

  • Steps for manually cleaning grill burner hole(s) :
  • Turn off grill and let cool.
  • Turn off LP (Liquid Propane) tank valve.
  • Remove cook grates, flavorings, and burners from firebox.
  • Following Owner's manual, clean burner holes in burner.
  • Reinstall burners, flavorings, and grates in firebox in reverse order.
  • Turn on LP tank valve.
  • Turn on grill.
  • Light burners to check if flames are orange color.

To purge a LP gas grill supply system

  1. Turn off the gas valve on the LP tank.
  2. Disconnect the regulator from the LP tank.
  3. Turn on all of the valves on the grill to full and let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Turn off all of the valves on the grill.
  5. Reconnect the regulator to the LP tank.
  6. Turn on the tank 1/4 to 1/2 of the way.
  7. Turn on and light the farthest burner from the LP tank.
  8. Light the rest of the burners starting from the first burner that was lit to the closest to the LP tank.
  9. After all the burners are lit turn all of them off. The grill is now purged.
