Q:

Battery for this pump 390307060 Craftsman Backup sump pump

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your sump pump. Upon researching model 390307060; we recommend the use of size 27M deep cycle marine battery or a size 24M deep cycle marine battery. The use of a standard automobile battery is not recommended, since it may require charging after 1-2 hours and repeated charging will wear out the battery faster.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

Thank you for your question on the back up DC pump.

The model number information that you have sent I cannot find any information on this.

The only information I have is on a Craftsman battery back up sump pump system with a model number of 390.307060. Please check on the unit to see if you have a model number that is similar to this.

If this back pump is not a Craftsman please reply with a little more information so I can help you.

That pump PS17-118 is similar. We normally don't recommend that you replace a component unless it is listed as a valid part by the manufacturer. That being said, I can't guarantee that it is compatible but it may work. It is approximately the same size. I can't determine whether the fittings and wiring connections are the same as that original pump. You could order it and see if it works since it is so similar. If you can properly wire it and connect the fittings then it should work. I assume that you could return it for a refund if it won't work. There may be shipping charges or other expenses for that tactic if you have to return the pump.

Since the original pump is no longer available, I recommend that you consider replacing the entire unit.

I agree that the pump looks similar and even though the fittings may not be the same, I should be able to buy conversion fittings. I think I can wire up the new pump with the wires from the old pump. I was hoping you might be able to tell me that the performance, i.e., Lift, GPH and Amps drawn were similar.

Those specifications on that pump are similar. If you are comfortable with using that pump as a replacement then it should not be a problem.
