Hello Lloyd! Thank you for responding with the model number. The pump requires die-electric pump oil. Your local Home Depot should have a Rigid brand of die-electric oil part number 90297. You will need enough oil to cover the motor windings but leave some room for thermal expansion. You can also find the oil on-line. I provided you with a link below. I really hope this information helps you today Lloyd. Thank you for using ManageMyLife.com.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to replace the oil in the sump pump.

The manufacture does not recommend servicing the sealed factory motor on this unit because you may not get it resealed properly and it will leak water and short out.

But since you already have it apart you would use 3GS refrigeration oil that you can purchase from any appliance parts supply store. Or it you have a WWGrainger supply in your area.

Only fill with oil to about 3/4 full so the oil has a chance to expand when it gets warm.

Make sure you get the case sealed for submersible use.

I will give you a link for the specifications of the oil.

Refrigeration oil .

I hope this information will help.
