This type of failure could be caused by a failed bake element, a wiring failure or a bad electronic control board.

If you have a volt/ohm meter, you can unplug the range or shut off the circuit breaker and check the bake element for continuity. You should measure between 10 and 40 ohms of resistance through the element. If it is "open" (measures Ol -- open load or infinite resistance) then it will need to be replaced.

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website. Be sure that you unplug the range or shut off the circuit breaker before accessing internal components.

If the element is okay, then I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure. You could have a wiring failure or a bad control board.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
