Q:

ultrasoft 180 electronic controller rusted 388170 Weedeater Lawn mower

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when a part on your Weedeater gets corroded and rusted. I do apologize I cannot guarantee if you replace that part that it will not rust again. When water and metal touch it does cause the rust. I would recommend putting the unit in a dry place if you do decide to replace the part. If you decide to replace the complete unit it would depend on the weather, if the unit is cleaned, and rain. All of those are causes of units rusting.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

The water softener leaking water into the take can be very frustrating. I did some research on your model number but was not able to find the reason for the leak. Your expert will be able to help answer your question. It may take 24-48 hours. I do hope that everything works out.

Thank you for your question. I am sorry you are having a problem with the softener. If the unit is leaking where the bypass fits into the valve body, the problem is usually caused by a deformed valve body. If the pipes and bypass drop down when you disconnect the softener, I suspect the weight of the pipes caused the problem. The by pass should line up with the valve body without moving it to fit. Usually replacing the valve body and supporting the plumbing will cure the problem. In some cases I had to replace the valve body and bypass to cure the problem. The parts to repair it will cost roughly 85.00 which is less than a new unit. The parts can be ordered from the following link.
