Thank you for your question.

I called a Berco dealer and they called the factory to see if this model will fit but he was not sure. I tried to look up a fit up chart but it was confusing. I recommend calling them directly at (877) 772-3726, they will be able to tell you if it will fit or if there is a way to make it fit.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

Q:

My Kenmore Vaccuum hose has a tear in it. Can I repair it myself?

A:

Repairs can save money at least on a temporary basis but sooner or later a replacement part will probably be needed for a vacuum to function properly. I found a web site that offers some quick fixes and may help for awhile. If you decide now or later to get the hose replaced, you can visit Sears Parts Direct to order a replacement hose. I attached both links below. These may offer some options. http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/506243/how_to_repair_a_vacuum_cleaner_hose_pg2.html?cat=7 http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Vacuum-Parts/Model-11624614400/0582/0642000?pathTaken=

The image below shows the hose I believe has a hole.

There are two ways to get this hose.

You can get just the 4370588 hose for $37.26. This will have to be installed. There are three wires that must be hooked up. Things always come apart easier than they go back together. I'd suggest taking the vacuum in for service to have this done.

You can locate the nearest drop off place at the following link: If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired by a Sears technician. Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations: Sears Home Services .

You can also get the entire KC94PBZTZU01 hose assembly for $83.99 and would be a swap out.

Either hose can be obtained from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

I hope this information is helpful to you but you can reply with any additional information for further assistance.

Q:

How do I replace the wiring harness in the vacuum cleaner hose assembly of Kenmore model 116.29713991?

A:

The wire harness shown and listed in the parts diagram is just for the handle assembly and not for the hose. It connects the wires in the hose fitting on the handle to the switch and then to the plug for the wand extension. Ordering this wiring harness will not likely help you resolve this problem. You can order the hose (part 4370588) that is only $37.26 (not including tax, shipping and handling). This is the only way to repair a wiring problem in the hose. The wiring inside the hose cannot be replaced. The procedure for replacing the hose on this vacuum is shown in the image below. The handle on your vacuum cleaner will be different than then ones shown in the first image but the basic procedure is the same. I recommend that you start with the handle side first when replacing the hose. The opposite side will be more difficult. The third image shows the clips that will need to be released on the collar. You may need to use the technique shown at the bottom of the third image to remove the collar on the end with the pipe connection for the canister. The collars on the hose are an extremely tight fit. Significant force is needed to release the clips and remove the collar. Once you remove the collars you should be able to replace the hose.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
