Q:

Gas range shut off

A:

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the range and I can understand your concern. I suspect from the information listed that the oven is heating continuously. Unfortunately the model listed is not complete and brings up several models. However, if it will not shut off, even when the stop button is pressed, it would indicate the control has failed. First, try resetting the control by disconnecting the power for 30 seconds and then reconnect it. Sometimes it will correct the problem. If the problem still occurs, the control will need to be replaced. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and please include the complete model and serial number and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. The range is operating properly. The space you're referring to, is the oven vent for the range. The vent is so that the oven is always maintained at a safe temperature. To heat can expand the inside and cause issues. The vents use to be located under the control panel or at the base of the unit under the warming drawer. The vent being at the door is manufacture design. The unit is not going to cause any more heat or problems than your old range did. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

This really does not make any sense. I wonder if the air coming out is just supposed to come out when the oven gets too hot. I notice that it takes a long time to warm up and it looks like the air is making the oven cooler and therefore not so effective. There is hot air coming out of the vent at the top of the range, but this flow of air is cool. Are you sure that the vent at the door is not supposed to start only when the oven gets too hot?

The air coming out from the door vent should be warm not cool. Your range will be under a one year manufacture warranty. I recommend scheduling for warranty service to have the range inspected to make sure it's functioning properly.
