A:

Good morning.... Replacing a belt on any tool or appliance is usually challenging at best. I have provided a link below that will pull up a full page of belt like situations. You will have to look towards the bottom of the page to get to where they discuss belt replacements. Important to keep in mind that an expert will be responding and giving you more details within the next two business days if not sooner. I hope this helps you and have a nice Sunday

Thank you for your question on the replacement process for changing out the cogged drive belt.

I have sent the manual with the instructions on how to change the drive belt on the saw.

You should be able to remove the screw for the shoulder washer and match the cogs and slide the belt on the pulleys.

I hope this will help.

My father-in-law has this model saw (Delta 36-600) and the motor runs but saw blade doesnot turn. I'm looking for an instruction manual for how to disassemble the saw to replace the belt. Also I need a part number for the belt. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Getting to the belt is fairly straight forward. You can turn the tablesaw upside down to remove the motor. Three bolts hold it to the plate. You will also have to take a few screws loose that hold the wire to the frame, at which point you can turn the motor for access and remove the screws holding the belt cover....located on the back of the motor. You should be able to use the delta model number to find your belt on Parts Direct.

Good morning.... Most of the links I've found in my research discuss the blade being locked up. I have not been able to locate any information on a blade that moves freely. I will forward your question to an expert who will investigate the matter further for you. They should get back to you within two business days if not sooner. Until then, have a nice day.

Thank you for your question on the table saw spindle spinning freely.

It sounds like you may have broken the cogged drive belt.

There is a cover on the end of the motor opposite of the saw blade that you will need to remove and replace the drive belt.

Please reference the image below for the parts illustration of the drive motor system.
