Thanks for your question about removing the trim on the dispenser; I will be glad to assist you with this.
The trim on this model is attached with two sided tape and nut pals. It can be hard to remove without damaging the trim, and the nut pals are not available as replacement parts. (The trim often cracks and breaks while removing) You can insert a flat blade under the edge and loosen working your way all around until the trim comes off. The trim itself is still available for ordering and so is the solenoid.
I will add a link for parts here: Sears PartsDirect
I hope this is helpful, should you need additional assistance please reply with details and I will be happy to respond.

Thanks Ron H.

Thank you for your question. I know it can be disappointing when the dispenser stops working. You have received some good information from Alina. When you say a periodic burst of water, is this taking place, when the dispenser is not being activated? Also if nothing happens when the lever is pressed, listen for a clicking sound when the lever is pressed. If you do not hear this sound, it indicates that either the dispenser switch has failed or the lever is not making contact with the switch. If you do hear this clicking sound but nothing is happening, check the wire connection at the top of the door, under the hinge cover. Be sure to disconnect the power to the refrigerator first. If the wires seem ok, some voltage checks will need to be made. If you have a meter and feel confident that you can safely make these checks, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
