Thank you for your question. I know it can be disappointing when the ice dispenser stops working. If the auger motor will run when tested and if the water dispenser works, some voltage checks will need to be made. A good check will be to see if there is voltage on the black and orange wires at the top door hinge. First, disconnect the power and then press your meter leads in the terminals for the black and orange wires. Do not disconnect the harness. Now, reconnect the power and activate the dispenser. It should be 120 volts at this connection. If there is no voltage there, the problem will be in the dispenser. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.

Safety Notice: Be sure to disconnect the appliance before performing any troubleshooting procedures. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks or repairs that might be recommended, please contact a local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

If the water continues to run after you fill a glass, either the water valve or a switch inside the dispenser can be causing the problem.

If the dispenser drips a few drops after you fill a glass, the reservoir located behind the crisper drawers inside the refrigerator section might have air in it. You can usually see the air bubbles if this is the problem.

To replace the water valve you need to remove the compressor compartment cover on the back of the cabinet. The water line from the house plumbing connects to the water valve.

If you have questions, reply on this thread and I will be glad to help.
