Q:

how to remove door handle from kenmore side by side frige model 3639507714 3639507714 Kenmore Refrigerator

A:

I understand needing to have further information regarding the handles to your refrigerator. I am happy to help. To access the screws on the door handle, the upper and lower trim will need to be either be removed or you can slide them far enough off the handle to access the screws that hold in the handle. If the trim caps will not slide, then they will need to be pried off. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I can understand your concern. The information you have received is good but will not pertain to this problem. Since the unit is running, we know there is power to it. First replace the bulbs and if they still don't work, the switches will need to be checked. To check the switches, first disconnect power to the unit. Now, pry the switches out. They may be a little difficult but they will pop out. On the refrigerator switch, connect the 2 wires together (make sure they don't touch anything) and plug the power cord back in. If the lights come on, the switch # WR23X10143 will need to be replaced. Make the same check with the freezer light switch. If the lights work, replace the switch with the same part number as above. The switches are available at SearsPartsDirect . If the lights still don't work, some voltage checks will need to be made and the wires may also need to be checked. A technician will need to make these checks. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps you. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

Scott D, Changed lightbulbs, no dice. Pulled switch off of door, bridged the circuit not through the switch still getting the clicking noise. Which powers down the digital control panel, inside the refrigerator. Could it be the actual light socket or the lighting harness? The noise is happening at the control panel underneath in what looks like a relay.

A:

Brian, this is confusing, the model listed does not show to have a digital control panel. If this is a different model, please include the complete model and serial number and I will assist you further.

Brian, thank you for the model number. The main control for this refrigerator will be the board under the unit, next to the compressor. The clicking sound will be from the relay in this board. In this case, the control board # 2252189 will need to be replaced. It's available at Kenmore refrigerator parts.
