Thank you for your question. If nothing at all on the fridge works, first make certain the wall outlet is supplying 120 volts to the fridge. Check the power cord on the fridge. Check the voltage where the power cord connects to the fridge for 120 volts. If the voltage is low or no voltage, it will indicate the power cord is defective. If the voltage is ok, next check the voltage at the thermostat from the brown wire to any orange wire. Be very careful making these voltage checks. If there is no voltage to the thermostat, it will indicate there is problem with the wiring in the cabinet. If the problem is in the cabinet, it may not be repairable. A technician will need to make this check to verify if it can be repaired. I'm attaching a picture of the wiring diagram below. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Kirtan, if you checked the voltage at the bulb, was the bulb still in place and did you check between the red and orange wire, while the door switch was pressed in? The door switch would have to be pressed in, to make this check. If you can send a picture of the white component you're referring to, it will be very helpful.

Q:

How can I get the new gasket on my refrigerator door to seal properly?

A:

You should remove the gasket from the refrigerator door and soak it in hot (130-140 degrees) water for 20 minutes and reinstall it. Let the gasket seat itself for 3-4 hours before you worry about the seal after reinstalling it.

I am sorry for the extra work. It would be nice if these instructions came with the gasket but they don't.

When you have the gasket removed clean the surface on the cabinet that the magnet touches with some warm soapy water and dry it. Removing any grease on this surface will help the gasket seal.
