I'm sorry that you are having problems with the refrigerator. If there is an odor in the freezer section, I suspect it's probably coming from the air flow. The air that's being circulated throughout the refrigerator will pick up any and all odors. Odors can be very difficult to get rid of and sometimes will not come out. The best method to remove or at least lessen an odor is, to start by removing everything and cleaning the entire cabinet with warm water and a mild detergent. Make sure everything is sealed or wrapped tight. Now place a couple of boxes of baking soda in the corner of some shelves. They will absorb the odor. Remove the boxes and replace them after a few days. There is also a part you can order called Odor Rid # 8171398 that hangs inside the refrigerator. It will also be a good idea to remove the ice and start over. Ice cubes will absorb and then release an odor.

If the odor is coming from under the cabinet, it could be coming from something that drained into the drain pan. First disconnect the power from the unit. You can remove the back cover and see the drain pan. Use some water and bleach to clean the pan and then you can leave some Clorox tablets in the pan.

Unfortunately, without the serial number I cannot find how old the product is. Please resubmit another question with the serial number to your refrigerator.
