A:

I can understand how frustrating it is to have issues with your refrigerator. The ice cube issues is usually a problem from the air flow. The air inside the refrigerator will pick up any and all odors. It then returns to the freezer and blows directly over the ice and absorbs the odor. The ice in the bin will need to be removed and start over. The refrigerator will also need to be cleaned. Remove everything in the refrigerator and clean it with a mild detergent and warm water. Be sure all packages and containers are sealed.

The water in the bottom of the freezer could also cause this issue, and it sounds like the refrigerator is not draining. The clear the drain:

The first step is to make sure the refrigerator is unplugged for safety. Then remove the fan cover in the back of the freezer compartment. This will allow you to see the drain pan and drain hole. Remove the ice buildup in the pan and locate the hole in the center of the pan.

There will be another pan at the bottom near the compressor where the water is evaporated away. You can use hot water to melt the ice in the drain hole of the freezer section until it runs into the pan below. Take precaution to catch any overflow with some towels.

Once the drain is clear, reassemble and plug the unit back in.
