Thank you for your question. Im sorry you are having this problem with your fridge. If you are noticing a frost accumulation in the freezer on the back wall and the motor is running, it will indicate a problem with the defrost system. As the frost accumulates, it will reduce the air flow to the fridge, causing an increase in the temperature. A good check for this will be to manually advance the defrost timer (# 257 in picture) into a defrost cycle. Its located in the control housing (# 436). The timer has a dial that will be positioned behind a small hole in the control housing. Use a screwdriver to turn the dial clockwise slowly, until it clicks and the unit stops running. It will now be in a defrost cycle. After a few minutes, if you can hear a sizzling or hissing type sound or see a red glow in the freezer, it means the heating element is working. This indicates the timer # WR9X489 is not advancing and will need to be replaced. Its available at http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-number/WR9X489/0046/363?pathTaken=directMatch&filterPart=&pop=flush&prst=0&shdPart=WR9X489&sid=MMLxexpertxmerch . I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
