Minimal harvesting of ice would be disappointing. It sounds like the ice fill or thermostat may be the cause in this case.

Generally, stuck ice cubes may be due to ice building up in the ice chute, the flapper door sticking, or the tray overfilling or under filling.

Pull out the ice bucket and see if there is ice buildup in the chute? If so, check the freezer temperature and adjust as necessary..

If the ice cubes are too large causing the cubes to jam, try adjusting the fill level control for less water. The image below can help make the adjustment. If the cubes are too small or hollow, they will also stick together and not dispense properly. Check the fill tube to see if it is frozen. If the cubes are small, try filling the tray with water to the proper level and see if it harvests. It could be the thermostat not heating the tray to release the ice.

If the flapper door is not opening to allow the ice cubes to drop, it may be the solenoid. This is the solenoid behind the ice bucket. If this solenoid fails, the gate that should open to allow cubes to drop will remain closed This and the thermostat are checks that are normally made by a technician. You can schedule a Sears technician here; Sears Home Services .

I hope this information helps. If more information is needed, please reply. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I think the arm rotates around and after the are out of the tray on the way over and out of the tray, the FIRST one next to the chute always and only "falls" back into the cover hole. Not into the bucket as all the others do.

Hello Roger. You can try to adjust that water fill level. You may also want to make sure that the ice maker is level inside the freezer. You may have a little play in that ice maker. You can loosen the screws and slightly tilt the ice maker module back if necessary. Tighten the screws after making that adjustment. Don't overtighten the screws. That could break the plastic.

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the chute building up with ice. If the flapper door is not closing, it usually indicates the door solenoid is sticking or has failed. In either case, the solenoid assembly # WR62X107 would need to be replaced. Now, if the water line in the door is freezing, first check the temperature in the freezer. If it's getting below zero degrees, this could happen. If the temperature is ok and if the water line continues to freeze, it would indicate there is a void in the door insulation. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
