Question and Answers

Q:

Why is there water under the fridge?

A:

The drain pan (# 260) will be under the freezer side. I'm sending you a picture. If there is no water in it, then it will probably have a crack in it or it may have moved. The best way to determine what is happening is, to pour some water into the drain pan, from inside the freezer. To get to the drain, the back panel in the freezer will need to be removed. The shelves will need to be removed first and also turn the power off to the unit. With the back panel out, you will see the evaporator coil and below it, the drain trough. Pour some hot water into the drain trough and watch where the water comes out under the unit. If the pan # WR32X1427 is leaking, it will either need to be replaced or repaired. Sometimes using some rtv will seal it. RTV is available, at most any local hardware store. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
