I can understand your concern. When I checked the water system on this refrigerator, it does not show to have a water valve. This means you will need a complete icemaker kit that also includes a valve, which will have to be installed. The Icemaker kit needed will be an IM6 kit. It's available at SearsPartsDirect . It should also be available at most retail stores also. I hope this will help you. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Where can the water be leaking from, on this refrigerator?

A:

If water is leaking out in front and it's coming from the door, it's usually caused from a drainage problem. If the drain gets frozen, the defrost water will run on to the freezer floor and eventually leak out the front of the door. Another possibility is if the drain pan has a leak in it or if it overfills. You can check it, by first disconnecting the power from the unit. Pull the refrigerator away from the wall, far enough to remove the back cover. With the cover off, you will be able to see the drain pan and see if it’s empty or full. If it's empty pour some water in it, to see if you can find a leak. If the pan is leaking, it can either be replaced or use some epoxy to patch the leak. If you need more assistance, you can resubmit your question with more details.
