You will need to remove the pump and motor as an assembly before attempting to remove just the motor. Once the pump/motor assembly has been removed then you have to remove the impeller (key#429) before you can remove the motor from the pump housing. If the pump is leaking from between the motor and the pump housing, I recommend replacing the pump and motor assembly. See image below.

There is a rubber pump connector (key#455) fasten to the top of the pump with a worm driven clamp (key#457) and a clamp (key#452) at the rear of the pump connecting the sump inlet (key#505) to the pump that must loosened before the pump motor assembly can be removed.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
