Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. The door seal is a press fit gasket. The old gasket should simply pull out of the channel, unless someone glued it in place with silicone. The new gasket should press into the channel. Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your dishwasher not draining. We are here to help. This dishwasher has a solenoid that opens a gate to divert water into the drain. I recommend the you ohm out the solenoid with a multimeter. Since you have both solenoids, check them both. If they measure the same resistance, the solenoid is not the problem. If one measures open or very high resistance, it is bad. I provide you a image of other causes for a dishwasher not draining. I hope this helps.
