Q:

Is there a high water-level switch to stop the water inflow to the dishwasher? 36315329100 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more then happy to assist you. The way this dishwasher works is based on the float system. Once water level pushes the float up its shuts the valve off. If your experiencing over filling then I would recommend changing the float. But also there is a seal at the bottom of the door that might need to be changed, something to check. Hope this information has help you. Q:

How do you clean the debris from the filter on a Kenmore dishwasher?

A:

Thank you for providing the photo. This is caused by not properly rinsing off the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. Too much food left on the dishes will cause the filter to get clogged up. If you still have this problem I recommend replacing the piston & nut assembly as mentioned by the last person that helped you.

You can access & clean the filter area by removing the 2 screws #42 holding down the filter frame.
