Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It's normal for some water to remain down inside the sump inlet area (key#505). It can't drain every bit of the water remaining in the sump area. If you do not see any water lying in the bottom of the tub when it's all put back together then it draining properly.

Hi Sarah,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I am sorry you are having problems with your dishwasher.

There is a cover in the floor of the back part of your dishwasher that has 2 screws. Remove those screws and you can clean that filter screen.

Other than that, I do not recommend that you try to gain access to the sump portion of this dishwasher. It is difficult at best and if not reassembled correctly it will leak from now on. I highly recommend having a trained service technician evaluate this problem. You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.

Q:

The wheels keep falling off the lower rack of my Kenmore dishwasher.

A:

Dishwasher racks don't seem to be made to withstand as much use as we provide. While you wait for the expert to answer this question for your model, you can check a another web site that seems to offer some reasons why this can continue to happen. I attached it below if you wish to check it out. I also added the link for your model at Sears Parts Direct if parts are needed. Hope this helps!
