Thank you for your question and I understand you concern. Your symptom indicates a partial blockage. The partial blockage could be in the sump (key#505), drain outlet (key#790), drain hose (key#462) or where the drain hose is attached to the plumbing.

Your dishwasher has motor and pump (key#310). It runs in one direction and the wash and drain modes are determined by the position of the drain valve. There is flapper that is either open (drain mode) or closed (wash mode). There is a drain solenoid (key#493) that energizes and causes a drain flapper inside the pump to divert the water out the drain hose instead of up through the spray arm.

The first place I would check for a partial blockage is where the drain hose connects under the sink. Disconnect the drain hose and look inside the fitting. Place the end of the drain hose in a bucket and place the dishwasher in a drain cycle to see how much force and water is being pumped out. If very little is coming out, the blockage is likely in the sump or in the fitting where the drain hose is connected. It could also have an issue with the drain flapper valve/diverter valve located just behind the drain fitting.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
