Having problems with your Oven can be frustrating especially when its an appliance we use on a daily base. When the wires shorted to ground they probably welded the contacts in the thermostat together.

The thermostat opens the contacts and turns the bake and broil elements off and on when you are cooking in the oven.

To repair the range you need to replace the oven thermostat. The part number of the thermostat is WB20K10004, and the price is $99.74.

Thank you for the reply. Can I check the thermostat with a volt meter to make sure that is the problem before I order parts? and if so how would I go about checking it?
