I can understand wanting you oven to work for Thanksgiving.

  • From your description it sounds like you will need to replace the ignitor and or saftey valve or both since they have to work with each other to light the oven burner.

  • If you turn the oven on the you see an orange glow down were the oven burner is, but the oven is not lighting or does a delay lighting of the burner I would replace both the ignitor and the safety valve.

These two part are pretty expensive. The ignitor part number WB13K21 is in the $80.00 area and the gas safety valve part number is WB19K14 is almost $200.00.

You can order the parts fromSears Parts Direct .

You could start with the ignitor but if it is the safety valve you may not have enough time to get the part before Thanksgiving.
