Question and Answers

Q:

Accessing the orifices 36275875691 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your questions about your Kenmore gas range model 36275875691. I am so sorry you are having difficulty accessing the burner orifices. I will be happy to help you with this. I have included an image at the bottom of this post which has the instructions for removing the cooktop. Please provide this to the technician that will be completing the gas conversion for you.

SAFETY WARNING: Gas conversions should only be completed by a qualified technician to prevent the risk of dangerous gas leaks. If the conversion is not completed properly, it could result in property damage, personal injury and even death. Many states have laws requiring a technician complete this conversion for that reason. I recommend you contact your gas company. They will often send a technician to your home to complete this process for you.

Here at SearsPartsDirect.com we love to help you with your home projects but it is our opinion that gas conversions are too dangerous for a do-it-yourself project. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. I hope we can help you with your future questions and repairs. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The LP surface orifices will need to be removed and replaced with Natural gas orifices.

  • Part #WB28K0143 is needed for the right front burner.
  • Part #WB28K0142 is needed for the two left side burners.
  • Part #WB28K0141 is needed for the right rear burner.

You can order the Natural gas orifices at Natural gas orifices at Sears Parts Direct.

The gas pressure regulator will need to be converted back to the Natural gas setting. The air shutters for the bake and broil burners must be adjusted for the best blue burning flame as possible.

I added the only instructions I could find in the images below for converting it to LP gas. You will need to just reverse the procedure to convert it back to Natural gas. Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post. I strongly suggest calling a service technician to convert your range back to Natural gas.

If you do not feel confident converting the range to Natural gas yourself, then you can have it converted at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Where can I find a product manual for my Kenmore gas range?

A:

I found a User's manual that should be close to your model from General Electric that you can download on line. We did not have one available online for your model. You have an option to order one, part#SR4236 which can be ordered at Sears Parts Direct. Click on "user's manual" below to open the link to the user's manual that you can down load.
