Question and Answers

Q:

Oven door locked 362.7586591

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Kenmore Range model 362.7586591. I am so sorry the oven door will not unlock. I will be happy to help you with this. I have included the link below for you to view the owner's manual online, in case you don't have a copy.

Start by disconnecting the power supply to the range for 5 minutes. (You can do this at the breaker so you don't have to unplug the range.) Sometimes the control panel needs that long to clear any program that is preventing the door lock from releasing. If that doesn't work, set the self-clean cycle. Allow it to work for 15 minutes and then cancel the self-clean. Allow the oven to cool and then try the door lock lever again. (Do not try to force the lever. That will damage the lock mechanism.) If the door is stilled locked you will be able to access the lock mechanism by lifting the cooktop. Please note - the door lock mechanism is no longer made. This means if you are not able to unlock the door by accessing the door lock mechanism, the part cannot be replaced.

If you are not comfortable attempting this repair yourself, you can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663. I hope this answers your question. If you need further assistance, please resubmit your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

Where can I get a cast iron burner to fit this model 3627586591 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how you would need the burners for your range. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found the original burner heads that go with your unit. Are you looking for the grates that go over the burners or the burner heads themselves? Also we are only able to get you the parts that are in the diagram of this model number. If we try to locate different burners it is not guaranteed to fit correctly.

Thank you for your question. Have a great day.

Q:

Why is my oven heating slow after recently converting from Propane to natural gas?

A:

The link below provides the owner's manual for your model of Kenmore range. Follow the instructions in this manual to make sure that you have properly converted the oven to natural gas (page 43).

Your symptoms indicate that the burner spud and/or air shutter is not adjusted properly on the oven burner.

If you need more help, resubmit your question with additional details.
