Q:

Open fire under oven 36275676690 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the gas range.

Glad to help out.  I’m looking at your Kenmore Gas Range model number 36275676690.

I see the burner supply tube #27 and the gas control valve as key #214.  I don't know what you see on line but the part number has never changed.   That tells me that it should be the exact same burener tube as when the oven was bought brand new.

The wires come as a wire harness #wb18K6.

Q:

Temperture in oven not accurate 36275676690 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I am sorry to hear about the abnormal temp within the oven cavity, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.

On the newer ranges, there is an oven temperature sensor that can be replaced for this type of issue, but this unit's oven temp is regulated by the oven control or electronic control board.

After pulling the board up, it looks as though they have been discontinued, however, there is a way to have your current electronic control board rebuilt if you would like to inquire further.

To have the board rebuilt, the repair service is CCS. The phone number for you to call is 1-866-737-2244.

Hopefully this helps and let us know if we can be of any further assistance. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Thanks for the response back Robert and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I can't say for sure the price on the rebuild, as CCS is a third party that assists our technicians with rebuilding boards that are no longer manufactured, however, I am thinking it will be around $100 or so. I would recommend to call to get pricing if interested to be sure.

The biggest thing however would be the turn around time. From what memory serves, I believe the turn around time from when you send them the board to when you could expect it back would be around 3-4 weeks, which is hard to go that long without an operable range.

It might be more economical to look at replacing the range at this point, largely due to the availability of parts and the age of the unit. If I were in your place, I would more than likely look at a replacement range myself.

Hopefully this helps and we wish you all the best with the unit. Let us know if we can assist any further.
