Q:

Kenmore Gas Range model #36275491991 #36275491991

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your oven and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 36275491991 and the glow bar sit right next to the burner tube that releases the gas. The glow bar/igniter and burner tube are not attached to other. The igniter will be screwed to or attached near the tube, close enough so that igniter ignites the gases. It is possible that you are referring to item 29 in the diagram. Usually with the gases no quick disconnect is used due to the gas that may leak. I trust this information will help you.

Thank you for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com.

Q:

oven igniter 36275491991 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your bake in your Oven does not work. I did look into the model number you have provided and it sounds to me like your ovens igniter is going bad, in which is causing your bake not to work. I have found information on how to test your igniter before you purchase a new one.

Turn the gas oven on. If all you can see is dull flame that's orange or red--or if there is no flame at all, then there is not enough electrical current to open the gas valve. You may also smell gas. This indicates the ignitor needs to be replaced.

Turn the oven on and look at your watch. Wait for the ignitor to start glowing. If it takes more than two minutes to glow, it needs to be replaced--even if the flame is fine and there's no smell of gas.
If your igniter lights with a good flame then your igniter is good.
Let me know if this helps.
Thank you for your question. Have a great day.
