That temperature sensor is probably okay. You can likely return that component. I suspect that you have a weak igniter. The theory of operation for the ignition system on the oven burners of this range is shown in the image below. Since that burner initially ignites and heats properly but does continue to heat, I suspect that the igniter will not continue to allow enough current flow through to the safety gas valve once it heats up and stays hot for a while. The bake and broils igniters on this range are almost identical except maybe for the mounting brackets. You may be able to switch those igniters and see if the bake burner heats properly. If it does, then you will need to replace that weak igniter. You can also check the amp draw through that wire between the igniter and the safety gas valve if you are comfortable performing that test. Use extreme care when conducting that type of live amp draw measurement. Wear proper safety equipment (electrical safety gloves and safety goggles). Unplug the range as soon as live testing is completed .

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website if necessary.

Thank you for your question.

The first responder Dezeray has given you a correct link to identify and correct this problem.

  • The only way to stop the beeping is to cut the power to the range.

  • In most cases you will need to replace the touch pad and or the oven control.

  • I am sorry to tell you that the key touch is no longer available.

  • I will give you a link to a company that rebuilds the oven controls and they may have a touch pad as well. You can contact them directly.

Core Centric Solutions .

I hope this will help.
