Thank you for your question.

I can understand your concern when the new EOC did not fix your range.

You have certainly done the right normal fixes for this problem on the range.

When you turn the oven on do you see any orange glow in the oven cavity after about 30 seconds? Make sure the oven cavity light is off.

If you do but the oven will not light then there is a problem with the ignition circuit.

If you do not see any glow then it appears the either the new control is bad or you may have installed it incorrectly.

Also from the part number you gave the control board is a rebuilt because of the R at the end of the part number. It is possible that it is a bad board.

I have given you a wiring diagram below so you can check to see if you have the wires on the control correctly. I could not get a close look at the control connections but I think it has just one plug.

I hope this information will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for your question.

  • The F1 error code would indicate that there is a key pad on the control pad is stuck down and not releasing. That is why when you push the stop/cancel pad it does not go away. The mylar material that the touch pad is made of will fatique and make contact all the time.

  • It sounds like you will need to replace the interface touch pad assembly. The part number for the touch pad is: WB7K24 and you can order this from Sears Parts Direct .

  • If you plan to replace this yourself you will first need to REMOVE POWER from the range.

  • Access the back of the range and remove the upper back panel and locate the screws that secures the control panel to the console. Remove the screws from the control panel and remove the touch pad in front of the control panel and carefully remove the ribbon strip from the connector on the control panel. Most of these connectors have a locking tab to release the ribbon. Carefully install the new ribbon strip and lock the connector.
  • Re-install the control panel and back panel and check for proper operation.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

I hope this will help.
