Thank you for your question on the replacement latches for the storm door.

Even though this is a discontinued door Emco say's that they can order the replacement latches for you.

There will be a charge however because the 1 year warranty has expired.

Please call 1-800-933-3626.

I hope this will help.

Thank for your question.

I can understand you need for the serial number for registering the warranty, and getting the right replacement parts.

  • The serial number is on the hinge flap for the door.
  • When you open the door the number should be on the top or bottom of the hinge edge. It will be one of the following number types. A six digit number with a letter in front. Or a seven digit number.Or a Ten digit number. It will say serial number next to it.

Also if you have more questions about your door you can call Emco @ 1-800-933-3626.

I have included the link to there website.

Emco .

I hope this will answer your question.

I am unable to locate the specs for that spring. Generally those are pretty generic in that it’s only used to hold pressure against the shifter ball. I checked on a tractor transmission and from what I can tell the 3626 spring should be a workable fit for you though. If it’s too long you may need to trim it down or if it’s too short stretch it out a little bit. I included a picture to give an idea of the size, but that’s the only thing close to a spec I was able to locate.
