Jaqueline - Your refrigerator wwas manufactured by Whirlpool, this is a common complaint and not just with Whirlpool built machines. The answer that Scott has given in the second link that Alina, above, has provided is good information. Two points i would add to what Scott has said. 1. Ensure that the refrigerator has a slight 'tip' towards the back. This is normally done to assist the doors closing but also allows for proper drainage of the collection tray beneath the evaporator coils. 2. Once you have cleared the drain tube of ice ensure it is completely clear bly blowing through it from the bottom end, be prepared for some 'muck' to come out of the upper end. To access the lower end of the drain tube remove the lower rear panel at the back of the unit and the front grill, items 44 and 36 at the link below. A bicycle tire pump, air matress inflator or even a lenth of tube and the human mouth will suffice to blow through the drain but it is awkward to get at. Good Luck.

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the water leaking in the fridge. The information you have received from Alina on the second link is correct. Tilting the unit back slightly as biguggy suggested would also be good. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

I have refrig model # 106.79852990 with two issues with the ice maker. One is, it will make the ice but not drop or dispense the ice into the ice container below it which this just started. Two which has been going on for some time is when it was making ice it would I'll say overflow the cups and have water fall in the container and soon would have a large glob of ice opposed to ice cubes. I've reviewed other post but not anything close to what I'm experiencing. Any recommendations to both issues? Thank you,

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you.  I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

It sounds like it could be the light switch is not making a proper connection to have the lights come on right away. This switch is the plunger at the top of the fridge when you open the door. I would recommend on replacing this part and seeing if it solves your issue.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. If you have any further questions or concerns, you will have to post a new question. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.

Samantha A. I appreciate your help but I don't believe that is the problem because the two lights in the fridge and the one in the freezer are on separate switches and both flicker. That would mean both switches went bad at the same time, the switch on the freezer door and the switch on the fridge door.

Im having the same issues. Our fridge is barely over a year old. the freezer and fridge lights flicker when either door is open. must be a factory defect that needs to be addressed. Please help SEARS! If either Ed or Richard comes up with a solution please mail me at Anthony.r.froid@lmco.com and ill post on here if I figure it out. I called sears and they want to charge me a service fee to come look at it. Again its barely 1 year old. Very disappointed with sears.

This is the same exact problem we are having with our refrigerator. Our model # is 10651122210 and we've owned it for less than 2 years. It was not an expensive refrigerator and now Sears says they will come to our home and fix it for $100 plus parts. Really? As the post above says I'm disappointed with Sears and really have no desire spending more for the refrigerator than the original cost. My family grew up with Sears appliances but I can't imagine purchasing another.

Paul---I spoke with sears customer solutions team and was given zero solutions. they basically said fix it myself or pay them to come out. I will keep researching for a fix. someone told me it could be a short but if that was the case the blinking would be inconsistent; as of now it only blinks when the door is open. I will keep posting on here until I get a fix and it has to be fixed. when the kids open up the door when the kitchen is dark it looks like I'm running a disco club (LOL). it appears this is a manufacturing defect; I've noticed many online appliance fix blogs that people with this fridge are having same issue. good luck.

Q:

Leaking gas cap 247374320 Craftsman Mower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issues you've had with the Kohler engine's fuel cap. I know how inconvenient that is to have happen.

I don't see any issue with the fuel cap from the manufacturer. I've seen instances where the fuel caps can warp slightly from heat or direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time, which would make them difficult to take off or thread on. It's hard to say where the issue is stemming from, but I believe a replacement fuel cap will solve the issue for you.

For convenience, I have linked a replacement cap for the engine below. Just click the link to be directed to the Sears Parts site to purchase when needed.

Fuel Cap for Kohler PH-XT675-2044

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

A relative that owns this same model has this issue, leaking from the filler cap with the cap fully locked in place. Inspection of the filler neck opening found that it is oval in shape, and not round. This was confirnpmed by measurements. The oval shape makes it very difficult to get the gas cap on, and the oval shape also means the rubber gasket in the cap won't completely seal with the filler neck. This is where the gas is leaking from. The oval shape of the fuel tank filler neck is probably due to a problem during the moulding of the fuel tank. Leaking gasoline is a serious safety issue that needs to be fixed. I'd like to find out if it is possible to get a new tank to replace the defective one.

I can confirm the warping of the fill mouth of the gas tank. This is my third season with my Craftsman (Kohler Courage) mower and the gas now flows quite visibly down from the gas cap during mowing. The cap itself had become increasingly difficult to put on and upon inspection, the cap and o-ring are in great shape, but the mouth of the tank opening is visibly warped into an oval, so much so that the cap o-ring no longer mates to the mouth surface for a good seal. My neighbor purchased the identical mower on my recommendation and upon asking, his has also begun to leak gas from the cap!! I expect Sears/Kohler will rectify this annoying and dangerous manufacturer defect. Please respond as to what steps should be taken and thanks in advance.

Follow up: Jeff had mentioned warping due to heat and long periods in the sun. My mower comes out to mow my 1/4 acre of grass about once a week during our very short, very mild NY summers and then it goes immediately into the garage again. It is stored in the basement during the winter. The engine oil is replaced every season and has never run low. I cannot imagine how temperature would be a factor in my case.

I am also having this problem my mower also has a noticeable oval shaped opening where the cap goes on which clearly as mentioned by Doug will not allow the undamaged o-ring to seal properly and living in this mountainous region where I have hills throughout my yard I continually lose large amounts of fuel out of my mower. This issue needs addressed immediately because we're just getting into summer and as the temperature rises the risk of an accidental fire/explosion resulting in injury and or death is more probable. Not to mention the EPA's take on the matter of fuel dripping off the mower into the environment where the owner does'nt notice the issue and it isn't taken care of. This matter needs taken care of immediately.

I have the same problem. The gas cap leaks AND it has become very difficult to replace the cap. It appears the gas tank opening is warped. This is a fire hazard and pollutes the environment. My mower is less than 2 years old.

I have the exact same condition. There needs to be a recall. The defective tank opening is warped into an oval shape and can't seal the fuel. My mower is just over a year old. My last Craftsman with Tecumseh engine never leaked fuel. It still had its original plastic cap and tank. It lasted more than twenty years. It guess wasn't allergic to sunlight. I am gonna try to obtain warranty service or replacement.

I, too, have the same problem. I thought it was just me. I purchased the mower in April, 2013. It came with a Kohler Courage XT 6.75 149cc engine. At first, the gas cap leaked a bit, but now, at times, the fuel is streaming out. Obviously, this is not safe. Has anyone had a success in getting either Sears or Kohler to address this issue?
