I recommend  checking the batteries with a multmeter. That will confirm the batteries are full charged. If the batteries are good and full charged, I suspect the motor is going bad. If the battery check full charged with the multimeter, the sweeper has a serious problem. The motor running slow is worn brushes or they are not making good contact with the amateur. The other cause is the amateur is worn and it needs to be replaced. The motor assembly is no longer available. Therefore, I recommend purchasing a new sweeper. I hope this helps.
