Q:

I have a blower/vac model # 358797931. I'M NOT GETTING A Spark 358797931 Craftsman Gas blower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having with spark on the blower. I know how frustrating that is.

You may have an issue with the ignition module. Before replacing it, check the gap between the module and the flywheel. It should be set to .010". Check the magnets for any surface rust. If they have some rust, lightly sand them with fine grit sandpaper. If that doesn't help, you will need to replace the module 530052266.

Q:

I am having difficulty tightening the fuel cap enough so that fuel will not leak out. Should I replace the cap? Does it have a gasket? 358797931 Craftsman Gas blower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

The fuel cap may need replacement if it's leaking fuel. There is typically a small rubber gasket that's on the underside of the cap, but that is not always the case. They can also warp slightly with heat, time, and usage. The vent can also begin to leak with time. In either case, the fuel cap will need to be replaced.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
