Q:

craftsman weedeater repair

A:

Having this happen to your tool is pretty disappointing. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to visit Sears Parts Direct website to speak with a Sears associate to find out what parts are needed. I have attached the link below. Hope this helps!

The part numbers for the fuel pick up and the fuel line are:

71 358 530095646 FUEL PICK-UP 1 $3.06 - Substituted for 71 358 530-010897 71 358 530069247 LINE KIT 1 $4.19 - Substituted for 71 358 530-069247

Run the fuel line under the outside cover in the same position the old line was in. Tape the end of the new fuel line while pushing it through the openings to prevent debris from getting into the line.

Run the fuel line into the gas tank far enough that you can pull the end out the fuel opening. Attach the fuel pick up outside the tank and push it through the tank opening.

You should not have a problem with this.

Hi, Jimmy. I'm going to try to use the information I found here to repair my own weedwacker. Is the fuel filter the same as the fuel pickup? I don't know the terminology. My fuel line rotted and disinigrated. Fuel filter looks fine but I'll probably replace it as long as I'm at it.

I will be happy to assist you. You are correct the fuel filter and the pick up should be the same. Different manufacturers call them different things but mean the same. Just in case you do not know how the lines should be connected, I posted a link below. It is to a video that shows how to determine the fuel line routing. I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life! Mark T.

Thank-you to all that replied. The information was/has been very helpful. Although my Craftsman weed-wacker does not have a primer-bulb, the single fuel line replacement is pretty straight forward with the supplied information, again, thank-you . AL

Thank you for your question about the after market cutter blades for string trimmers.

The trimmer manufactures do not recommend using these on there trimmers because legal safety liability reasons.

You will need to completely remove the trimmer head and install the after market head with the plastic replacement blades.

There are some companies the make the blades you are looking for to fit some electric models. Look for a brand called Gator blades.

[Gator string trimmer blades | http://www.bestelectricstringtrimmers.com/electric-string-trimmers/grass-gator-6610-electric-blade-pack.html][ .

I hope this will help you.
