Q:

need info replacing crankcase gasket. 358795630 Craftsman Bushwacker

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct.
Upon doing research it is more of a personal preference if sealant is used. I always recommend using sealant on gaskets that are getting replaced. The reason is if there is any slight imperfections where the crankcase gasket meets the block it might not seal properly.
I hope this helps you. If you have any further questions please comment back. Have a great day.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the trimmer. If you are using fresh fuel and are sure the fuel lines are connected correctly, I suspect the carburetor is plugged with debris. To cure this problem you will need to clean or replace the carburetor. I have found a video that will aid in cleaning the carburetor. Click here to watch the video. Please use caution when working with fuel and work in a well ventilated.

I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, please reply below with more details.

Q:

How do I replace the dry rotted fuel lines on my 22" hedge trimmer model 358795630?

A:

There are no instructions available for a do-it-yourself replacement of these fuel lines. This is a task that is intended to be performed by a factory trained service professional on this model of hedge trimmer. If the fuel lines are not connected properly and securely, the repair could result in fire and injury. I recommend taking the hedge trimmer to a repair facility to have the fuel lines replaced.
