Question and Answers

Q:

what should the compression be on leaf blower 358.794700 358794700 Craftsman Gas blower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you're having starting the blower. I know how frustrating that is.

You will want a compression PSI between 90-100 for the engine to fire. If you put a compression gauge on and it's within that range, I would suspect a fuel issue if you have spark.

I hope that helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

Replace Vacuum door on my leaf Blower 358794700 358794700 Craftsman Gas blower

A:

That vacuum door is attached to the blower housing with a tension spring. Replace the side of that blower housing (part number 577045601) if damaged. Replace the spring if damaged. The spring has clips. When reinstalling the tension spring, you will need to load the tension on that spring so that the cover snaps closed properly.
