Q:

Brushes for 358.748220 Craftsman Blower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the issue you're having with the motor on this unit, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.
Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn't break down the motor brushes as individually replaceable parts for the motor. If the brushes are removeable, you can measure them and go online and run a search for 'Blower Motor Brushes' and there will be some online retailers that will pull up that specialize in these carbon brushes. They are usually matched up by size.
Hope that points you in the right direction and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

How do I order the Gutter Kit 71-79970 358748220 Craftsman Blower

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
I think the issue with the search for the gutter kit came from the division in front of the part number. In this case, 71- can be removed and just the remaining part number of 79970 can be inputted into SearsParts.
For convenience, I have included a blue link below that you may click on to be directed to the PartsDirect page to view and purchase the blower attachment gutter kit.

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry you are having a problem with the blower. If the motor was not coming on at first and then started sparking from the motor, I suspect the brushes in the motor are failing. If this happens, the motor has to be replaced. I looked up the cost of the motor and it is $36.00 plus taxes and shipping. Instead of replacing the motor on the blower, I recommend that you consider a new blower. The costs of new blower vacs start at $45.00 and go up. Based on the model you have now I recommend the $45.00 model. Click this link to see that model. The new blower has a two-year warranty where the new motor will have a 90 day warranty.  I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance. Thank you for using Manage my life. Mark
