Q:

Replacing fuel filter 358356090 Craftsman Craftsman gasoline chain saws

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

The diagram is a little confusing with the two options for the fuel filter/weight. The filters/weights appear to be of a different design. Part number 530095646 appears to be closer in resemblance to the original filter. I would think that would be a better option, along with washer 530015252. I think either would work though.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Based on the diagram, I'm not sure how the washer is installed or what it's purpose is. Can you explain ? Thanks.

Q:

Craftsman 358.356090 Chainsaw fuel and vent lines.

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the chainsaw. Pull the lines through from the outside of the little holes and then attach the filter on one and the check valve on the other. Then pull the lines back through. The line with the little check valve can pull right up to the hole.  Cut the line about an inch or so above the tank and tuck it out of the way. The line with the little filter needs long enough so it can move around the entire tank. This is so the filter stays submerged when the saw is tipped.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
