Q:

What would cause my Craftsman chain saw to stall when I pull the trigger?

A:

Without a model number, I can only give you general information. Most of the gas-powered lawn tools produced today have limited adjustment on the carburetors. If the chain saw is dying, it most likely needs to be cleaned or replaced. If you are not familiar with cleaning carburetors, I recommend you have the repair done. If the repair is not done correctly it could cause the engine to run lean and ruin the engine. If you decide to do the repair you can buy the parts from our web site Sears Parts Direct .

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired by a Sears technician. Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations: Sears Home Services .
