Question and Answers

Q:

need to know how to adjust carburetor on a gas chain saw, model 358.350560

A:

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the chainsaw. I will be happy to assist you with adjusting the carburetor. I found a great video that shows how to make the adjustments. Click here to watch the video. If adjusting the carburetor does not cure the problem, I recommend making sure you are using fresh fuel mix. If the engine still does not run correctly with fresh fuel you may need to clean the carburetor. To perform this repair you will need to remove the carburetor from the saw. Then disassemble it and flush out all the passages with carburetor cleaner and compressed air. Once it is cleaned, reassemble the saw and check the operation. If needed, you can make final adjustments with the saw running.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired by a Sears  technician.  Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations:  Sears Home Services

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.
