Q:

My sander quit working is there a reset button

A:

Getting the sander back up and running would be great. To help you with the sander and see if there is a reset button I would like to suggest adding your model number. This will help your expert in answering your question. It may take 24-48 hours. I do hope all goes well with the sander.

Thanks for adding that model number. I do not see an overload or reset button on that sander. Here is a direct link for the owner's manual on that model: Owner's Manual for Craftsman Sander 351.225950 . I recommend that you check the electrical outlet to make sure that it has power. Plug a small tool or appliance into the outlet to make sure that it is working. That basic troubleshooting step should not be overlooked.

If the outlet is okay, then you could have a wiring connection failure that is preventing the sander from running. The image below shows the wiring schematic for the sander. Unplug the sander and check those wiring connections. If the wiring connections are okay, then you could have a bad switch, a failed relay or a bad motor. A number of other failures could prevent the sander from running.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
