Question and Answers

Q:

i need part number 16100.00 for a 13" planner and i look it up and it says its no longer avalible, what in the scratch am i supposed to do for the part ??????? 351.217430

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Craftsman Planer, Model: 315.217430. From reviewing the details on your model, it seems that the handle is no longer available through the original manufacturer like you stated. At this point in time, I’m not seeing a substitution part for this handle.  Since we only deal with OEM parts once a manufacture discontinues a part there’s no way for us to obtain the part. The only thing I could recommend is trying to find it on aftermarket sites or parts shops.

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day

Q:

got new switch need to know where white and black wires go 351217430 Craftsman Planer

A:

If the switch just has two terminals for the wires, then it should not matter which wire goes to which terminal on the switch. You should be able to connect the wires either way.

If you need more help, let us know.

Q:

Roller feed gears - broken three of them plaining 3 boards 351217430 Craftsman Planer

A:

It would be difficult to say with any certainty what is causing the sprocket to break. It is likely related to a worn bearing causing the shaft and sprocket to become out of alignment with the chain. Look for a worn shaft bearing. I suggest calling a service technician to properly diagnose the breaking of the sprocket if you're not able to find the cause.
